Man grabs special needs man’s neck accusing him of stealing bike

A special needs man was riding his bicycle through a neighborhood, when his life was risked. All it took was one overzealous person unfamiliar with this man to cause problems. When another man in the neighborhood spotted this man, he confronted him. Not only did the man not know this guy, but also, he accused him of riding a stolen bike. As a result, the man placed him under a citizens’ arrest, grabbing the man by the neck. The authorities were called and defused the situation.

Over the past fifteen years, there have been an increase in citizens going on vigilante missions. While some crimes have been solved this way, a lot of people have gotten hurt. Many innocent people have lost their lives and gotten into serious trouble. However, due to a lack of proper punishment for people interfering in criminal issues, people keep doing it. As a result, there are more innocent people that have been put at risk.

What took place was actually a sad display. First, the victim in this situation is a man who suffers from an intellectual disorder. So, the man riding a bike is him doing the best he can to navigate. Second, this man was likely targeted simply for being different. That said, the man who detained him didn’t know him and also didn’t give him the benefit of the doubt. The man grabbed this special needs person, scaring and hurting him. Even when authorities came, he didn’t immediately let the victim go.
