Last week, a devastating story from Chicago took over the news. Initial reports made it seem as if a mother cruelly put her son up to shooting a man for flirting with her, and the man lost his life. As further details emerged, it was clear a man began harassing a woman. When she turned his advances down, he began to threaten her. After that, her soon took action, and fatally shot the man. Despite the video displaying this, the mother and son were charged with murder. Thankfully, those charges were dropped, and now the family is reunited.

Under the proper circumstances, there is nothing a mother won’t do for her son. In turn, there’s nothing a son won’t do to protect his mother. Most men never care for men coming onto their moms anyway. As a result, most stepfathers have a hard time winning over their wives’ sons. However, if the man is actually of quality, he does his part to win over the son. Unfortunately, most of the men in those situations are not of quality. That said, there has been an alarming rise in teenage boys ending the lives of men pursuing their mothers.
