I was born in the mid-90’s, so maybe the nostalgia for my childhood is affecting the way that I hear these songs, since growing up I mostly heard them on the radio or other places they’d be censored.

It’s not that I have a problem with swearing, but I do feel like some songs just have better lyrics and flow in some parts with the censored version–the chorus of “Back That Thang Up” in particular. “Big, fine woman” just sounds better to me than “fine muhfucka”.
