Comedian Kevin Hart sits down with Will Smith for a special “Red Table Talk” Father’s Day edition where he shares how cheating on his wife Eniko caused a rift between him and his daughter, Heaven Hart.

More inside…

Kevin Hart opened up about his struggles with infidelity during a special “Red Table Talk” episode with fatherly guest host, Will Smith, filling in for his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, daughter Willow Smith, and mother-in-law, Adrienne Banfield Norris.

During the Father’s Day episode, the Fatherhood actor discussed how his 2017 cheating scandal affected his now 16-year-old daughter, Heaven Hart.

In 2017, the Night School actor cheated on his very pregnant wife Eniko Hart publicly and it turned into a whole scandal. She was pregnant with their first child together, Kenzo, who is now 3. Kev & Eniko have an 8-month-old daughter, Kaori and the comedian is the father of Heaven and Hendrix, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Torrei Hart.

You’ll recall, Kev was sent a video of a sexual encounter he had with a woman in Las Vegas. The drinks were limitless, and Kev barely remembered what even went down that night. After seeing the video, he questioned how was it even possible a video was made. Turns out, it was his friend of 15-years, J.T. Jackson. He set a video camera in the room and recorded the comedian and the woman. Jackson then edited the footage and sent Kev an anonymous email claiming he needed to give him $10 million to keep it on the low.

In 2019, Eniko opened up for the first time about the cheating situation in a six-part Netflix documentary series titled “Don’t F**k This Up.” The comedian gave fans unprecedented access to his life as a father, a husband, a role-model, and a business-man. And, of course, they had to address how his wife worked through being cheated on.

The About Last Night actor told Will Smith he had to fight to get his “daughter back” once he explained the situation to her.

“When me and my wife went through what we went through, and the whole cheating display, my talk with Heaven… God damn, God damn… that was one like no other,” he said. “Getting my daughter back, getting my daughter to understand that I was sorry, that I made a mistake, that was real.”

“My daughter was tough on me,” he later added. “Until this day, until this day my daughter is tough on me.”

As she should.

In the Netflix doc, Eniko said she was kind of “happy” that it happened because it made Kevin a better man. She decided to stay because she wanted their son Kenzo to grow up with his father, but, if he messes up again, she claims she’s done for good.

The father-of-four also opened up about how his daughter had a hard time dealing with the controversy that arose surrounding his Oscars hosting gig that went down in December 2018. If you haven’t heard, he was dragged on social media after some old homophobic tweets and jokes resurfaced. He ended up backing out of hosting the 2019 Academy Awards.

“My daughter was so upset because she couldn’t process how people could think this about her father,” he said. “It was so tough because this is when I started to realize how my fame has an impact on my household.”
