22 Jan Dustin Diamond Is Diagnosed With Stage 4 Small Cell Carcinoma & Completes His First Round Of Chemotherapy (Update)
Last week it was reported that actor Dustin Diamond was diagnosed with stage four cancer and that he would be undergoing chemotherapy. Now more details about his condition have become available.
TMZ is reporting that Dustin’s team has updated that he has now completed his first round of chemotherapy. After further tests, it was revealed that he has stage 4 small cell carcinoma, which is a form of lung cancer. It was revealed that the cancer started elsewhere in his body and then spread in his lungs.
He is scheduled for another round of chemotherapy and will begin physical therapy. His team added that he is keeping a positive outlook and is looking forward to spending more time with his loved ones.
As previously reported, last week a rep for Dustin spoke out about his condition and described his cancer as “serious,” and said that he would remain in the hospital “for a while.”
TMZ reports that prior to his diagnosis, it was feared that Dustin had cancer due to his family history, and unfortunately it was confirmed that he has cancer after he was admitted to the hospital.
Dustin is most known for his role as Samuel “Screech” Powers on the 90s sitcom “Saved by the Bell.”
We are continuing to keep Dustin lifted in prayer during this time.
