DaniLeigh Responds To Commenters Criticizing Her For Making A Song For Her “Light Skin Baddies”

DaniLeigh hit the ‘gram with a brand new look and a brand new track for all of her fans, but she found herself having to defend her lyrics after some fans weren’t feeling it.

With a new Marilyn Monroe inspired hairstyle, DaniLeigh took to Triller with her new song about yellow bones.

“Yellow bone that’s what he want, yellow bone that’s what he want. Prada me and Saint Laurent. Yellow bone that’s what he want,” the lyrics said.

DaniLeigh was definitely referring to her fair skin tone, and some of the fans in her comments did not take kindly to the lyrics. Nevertheless, Dani said she made a song for her “light skin baddies” and wasn’t hating on anybody else.

“Why I can’t make a song for my light skin baddies?? Why y’all think I’m hating on other colors when there are millions of songs speaking on all types…why y’all so sensitive & take it personal gahhhh damn,” DaniLeigh wrote in her comments.

“Girl I’m here for your talent and sh*t but this was a choice. Yellow bone is what he wants? Leave that toxic colorist in 2020 thnx,” one user commented.

“Nooooo this is not it. I’m light skinned black woman and would NEVER say this!! I’m not usually sensitive about stuff that ain’t nice at all. It’s very disrespectful, disappointing, and distasteful!,” another commenter said.

“So we just gonna let her keep using words like the n word and now she’s calling herself yellow bone? It’s the colorist for me. It’s just like JLo called herself a negrita, like what?????? NEGRITA WHERE???,” another fan wrote.
