FBI Reveals It Has Received 40,000 Tips Regarding Information About Trump Rioters Who Stormed U.S. Capitol

#Roommates, the aftermath of the chaos that erupted earlier this week when pro-Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol is just getting started—and now the FBI is making major progress in finding those responsible. According to new reports, the FBI recently confirmed that it has received 40,000 thousands tips from citizens with information about the violence that occurred at the U.S. Capitol.

@CNBC reports, the FBI is asking Americans with any tips or information about the terrorist attack at the U.S. Capitol by a mob of Trump supporters, to reach out to them for help…and so far it’s definitely working. FBI officials revealed that it has received 40,000 online tips from the public on the identification of people who took part in the deadly pro-Trump riots.

One of the techniques FBI agents are utilizing to further their investigation, includes using facial recognition technology to help with the digital materials that have been submitted. Just hours after the riots unfolded, the FBI requested that the public send “tips and digital media depicting rioting or violence in and around the U.S. Capitol.”

In a subsequent statement, the FBI stated “If you have witnessed unlawful violent actions, we urge you to submit any information, photos, or videos that could be relevant at fbi.gov/USCapitol.”

As we previously reported, the nation was shocked last week when a mob of hundreds of pro-Trump rioters descended on the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s presidential win by the Electoral College. Five people died during the riots, including a police officer.
