Cardi B’s “WAP” single featuring Megan Thee Stallion was released in August of last year and was an instant hit. It skyrocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the music video also went viral. The visuals trended heavily as it contained cameos by Kylie Jenner, Mulatto, Normani and more.

WAP has since achieved 3x platinum and now, it has reached another epic milestone. According to Chart Data, it was the most streamed song of 2020 in the US by a female artist. WAP accumulated 732.7 million on-demand streams. This was also ranked No. 6 overall as well.

Cardi did not submit WAP for Grammy consideration but this was reportedly due to her wanting to release her sophomore album first. As of now, there is still no official release date or title for that project. April will mark the three-year anniversary of her debut studio album, ‘Invasion Of Privacy.’

As far as Megan, her 2020 was huge as well. She had a top 10 project in March with her ‘Suga‘ EP which contained the hit single, “Savage.” That then earned a remix with Beyoncè as that reached No. 1 on the Hot 100. Her debut album, ‘Good News,’ was also released in November and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. That contained hits such as “Body,” “Girls In The Hood,” and “Don’t Stop” feat. Young Thug.
