[DISCUSSION] In your opinion, what is the best album that Rick Rubin helped produce or produced entirely by himself across all genres?

(Posting this here because r/Music’s stupid automod deleted it mistaking it as a “what is this song” type post rather than an actual discussion.)

In your opinion, what is the best album Rick Rubin helped produce or produced entirely himself?

Rick Rubin has been assisting and influencing the artists’ he has worked with to make debatably their best pieces of work in their entire careers.

Despite starting out with a Rock and Roll influence, he’s branched out to a wide variety of genres. Spanning from rap with the Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill and Kanye West’s Yeezus, to a more pop style with Adele’s 21, and even dabbling in country while working with Johnny Cash to make his American Recordings series, Rick Rubin has made plenty of masterpieces across all genres of music. This makes it very hard to rate his albums using standards from each individual genre.

With all he has done and the legacy he’s built, what would you say are his most noteworthy and “best” album(s) that he produced?
