Last week, Playboi Carti dominated social media after finally putting out his highly anticipated ‘Whole Lotta Red’ album. This was his first project since his debut album, ‘Die Lit,’ in 2018. After fans got a taste of Whole Lotta Red, there weren’t many positive reviews.
Despite many critics not feeling Whole Lotta Red, the streams helped it tremendously. It was projected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and now, that is happening. According to Chart Data, this album comes in at the top spot with 115,000 units sold in its first week. This will also mark the Atlanta rapper’s first No.1 album
Whole Lotta Red was a very lengthy project as it contained 24 tracks in total. Features included Future, Kanye West, and Kid Cudi. The deluxe edition is also being worked on by Carti now.
Shortly after Whole Lotta Red was released, Carti was also bashed on Twitter by his ex-girlfriend and baby mama, Iggy Azalea. She claimed that Carti ditched her and their newborn son to go to his album release party with the woman he cheated on Azalea with during the pregnancy. She added that Carti also skipped the birth of their child to go play PlayStation with Lil Uzi Vert in Philadelphia. Azalea has since revealed that the two have bettered the situation.
