Dr. Dre Reportedly Wants To Settle His Divorce Because It’s Getting Too Expensive (Update)

TSR Updatez: You know what they say, Roommates, “It’s cheaper to keep her.” It appears Dr. Dre may be finding that out the hard way. In what was turning out to be a pretty ugly divorce case, with months and months of Dr. Dre and his estranged wife Nicole Young one-upping each other, Dre reportedly wants this thing to just be over now because this divorce is bleeding his pockets, according to the Blast.

Dre’s attorney Laura Wasser was in court Thursday for a trial setting conference to determine how far along the parties were in the case and whether a trial date could be set on the whole debacle of the prenuptial agreement. Remember, Nicole Young said their prenup contract was null and void because Dre reportedly tore it up as an act of love, a claim that Dre has repeatedly denied.

The longer these two wait to go to trial, the more money it’s costing Dre as he’s paid more than $750,000 just for his ex’s attorney fees and she owes her attorneys more than $1 million!

Dre has racked up his own attorney’s fees to the tune of about $300,000. The Blast reports they were told Dre has made it clear on several occasions that he has proposed a settlement conference and would advance all costs to make this happen.

In other words, like Keyshia Cole sang, “I just want it to be over!”

Dre has also proposed to resolve the matter on terms that are far more generous than what the prenuptial agreement initially provided. Dre reportedly wants his wife of over 20 years to be comfortable.

The longer they disagree on certain terms of their divorce, the more money they’ll have to spend. The gag is, they both have to agree to settle.

Nicole is asking the court to award her $2 million a month in temporary support and Dre is opposing that amount.

This case alone could cost millions of dollars to litigate, chile.
