Recently, reports have said Mulatto is considering a name change. Last year, she did a soft renaming, dropping “Miss” from her moniker. But, given the nature of her stage name, and the racial tension, plus the history, the whole name may have been ill-advised, from the jump.

Mulatto, though, has become one of the biggest female rappers in the game. Since 2016, there have been a long list of female artists who have risen to become successful. She also has been out in the spotlight, during this run.

On Clubhouse, Mulatto was quoted saying “Colorism isn’t real,” which caused much backlash. The fans on Twitter caught this comment, from her, and went in on her. These people have had all kinds of things to say about Mulatto, from saying what else to expect, given her name, among other insults.
