Last week, Megan Thee Stallion finally released her debut studio album, ‘Good News.’ This project was headlined by singles such as “Don’t Stop” feat. Young Thug, “Girls In The Hood,” and “Savage” remix feat. Beyonce. The intro also garnered a lot of attention with the “Shots Fired” intro which dissed Tory Lanez and her ex-best friend, Kelsey Nicole. This record also sampled The Notorious B.I.G.’s legendary “Who Shot Ya.”

Earlier this week, Good News was projected to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and this is the case. The final numbers are in and according to Chart Data, Good News sold 100,500 units. It also accumulated over 115.85 million on-demand streams as it became the most streamed album in the US. It also marks Megan’s highest-charting project over her ‘Fever‘ mixtape and ‘Suga‘ EP.

The No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 went to BTS’ fifth studio album, ‘Be.’ This is also their fifth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. This accomplishment also makes BTS the fastest group to earn five No.1 albums in the US since The Beatles from 1966-1968.

2020 continues to be huge for Megan as Suga debuted at No. 7 in March and also earned her first No. 1 single in April with the Savage remix. She is also part of a huge controversy where she was allegedly shot in her feet by Tory Lanez in Hollywood Hills, CA in July. He has since been charged with felony assault and faces 22 years and eight months in prison if convicted.
