Kodak Black Vows to Donate $1 Million to Charity If Trump Pardons Him

Kodak Black is asking for a presidential pardon.

The embattled rapper, who is behind bars on weapons charges, put out a call to Donald Trump to release him from prison before he leaves office. In return, he vowed to donate $1 million to charity within his first year of freedom.

“If The President Them Free Me , I’m Gonna Spend 1 million on Charity within The First Year I’m Out. That’s on Everything,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet on Friday.

In September, Kodak’s attorneys sent a petition to the president urging him to commute the rapper’s 46-month sentence.

Kodak previously shared his support for the Trump administration’s Platinum Plan, which promises to increase access to capital in Black communities by almost $500 billion. “This is what the community needs…. more ownership. That plan is right! I want to help with justice reform when I am out as well,” he tweeted.

Throughout his presidency, Trump has pardoned boxer Jack Johnson and suffragette Susan B. Anthony, as well as friends and advisers including Roger Stone and Michael Flynn.

Kodak is currently serving 46 months in a Kentucky federal prison for making false statements on federal forms when he purchased firearms at a weapons store. He is set to be released in August 2022.

Earlier this month, he dropped Bill Israel, his first project in nearly two years, featuring Gucci Mane, Tory Lanez, Jackboy, and Lil Yachty.
