Megan Thee Stallion finally released her debut studio album, ‘Good News,’ last week. This project was headlined by the hit singles “Savage” remix feat. Beyoncé, “Girls In The Hood,” and “Don’t Stop” feat. Young Thug.
Many believed that Good News had the potential to be a No. 1 album for Megan and now, the first week numbers are coming in. It’s set to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 103,000 units, according to Chart Data. This is behind BTS’ ‘BE’ album, which had 246,000 units.. This is the group’s fifth No. 1 Korean album.
Another record that is gaining a lot of attention from Good News is “Shots Fired.” Megan sampled The Notorious B.I.G.’s classic “Who Shot Ya” record from 1994. Here, she dissed Tory Lanez as well as her ex-best friend, Kelsey Nicole.
Good News also marks Megan’s second project of 2020. On March 6, she put out her ‘Suga’ EP which featured the original version of Savage. That debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200.
