Ashanti Says She Recently Finally Got a Negative COVID-19 Test; Tested Positive Last Month and Had To Postpone Verzuz With Keyshia Cole

Last month, Ashanti revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19. Due to that unfortunate news, her Verzuz battle with Keyshia Cole had to be postponed. The makeup date ended up being set for January 9 after originally being set for December 12.

Now, the R&B legend has some very good news to kick off 2021 and that is her being COVID-free. She just took to her Instagram feed to reveal that she got a negative test two days ago.

“Starting off the new year amazing and Covid free!!! Got my negative results back 2 days ago! Happy new year y’all!!! Lets’ go 202WON! Thank u God.”

Ashanti also expressed how grateful she is for her recovery and added that her parents tested negative as well. She added that this is great in starting off the new year healthy, happy and loved. She went on to wish everyone else a happy new year as well.

Now that Ashanti is healthy again, fans of hers can now look forward to the Verzuz with Keyshia Cole. The two will be together in-person as this will definitely have some great moments for R&B.
