25 Nov Black Woman Creates The Only Drive-Thru Beauty Supply Store In Statesboro, GA
2020 has been a trying year for all of us, but one thing most entrepreneurs have learned how to do was pivot to meet their clients/customers’ needs. COVID-19 has revamped the way many businesses serve their customers in a way that’s safe and efficient. Roommates, we know how important it is to get your hair done. Well, thanks to 24-year-old Shada Monique she opened Hair’Satility, which is the first drive-thru Beauty Supply store and salon in Statesboro, GA.
Hair’Satility opened earlier this month, and Shada told TSR exclusively that she had her vision of opening this beauty supply store since she was in the 9th grade. The Georgia Southern graduate said that there were limited beauty supply stores in the small city 3 hours away from Atlanta, GA. She did the hard work of acquiring the building in June and had a lot of support from her boyfriend to build up to code. One thing about Shada, she didn’t give up on her goals when she was met with adversity.
She said it wasn’t easy to build relationships with hair and product distributors to access the items she needed for her store. However, in the end, she secured a contract with popular hair company Bobbi Boss amongst others. The drive-thru portion of her beauty supply store works by customers calling in their orders and pulling up to the window to complete their purchase. Customers aren’t limited to only using the drive-thru; they can come inside as well.
Roomies, let’s congratulate Hair’Satility on this big accomplishment!
