An active shooter on the campus of University of North Carolina Chapel Hill has left the whole neighborhood under lockdown. The story is still developing, as the nearby elementary school is also under lockdown. Classes are being dismissed, with everything under a “secure” status, this far. However, all after school activities have been cancelled. Meanwhile, other activities will take place inside of the schools.

This weekend, an active shooter in Jacksonville, Florida led a shooting at Dollar General. Several lives were lost in that shooting. That attack was racially motivated. However, with this situation, there was an Asian man who is the person of interest. The man opened fire on the campus, but there have not been any reports of lives being lost.

Reports began about this shooting at 1, this afternoon. An Asian man is the person of interest, being accused of being the first person to start the shooting. The lockdown orders remain for people to stay in place. However, some students have been released. Those students that have been released have spoken on the situation with the local news. This is still a developing story.
