J. Cole admits he smoked cigarettes at 6 years old
A new interview featuring J.Cole has fans shocked as he reveals a surprising secret. During a new episode of ESPN’s Podcast Lead by Example with Bob Myers, J.Cole gave some details about his childhood. Candidly speaking about his hobbies as a kid, he shared something fans didn’t expect to hear. J. Cole admits to smoking cigarettes at just six year old. He explained how hanging with kids older than him, exposed him to adult activity at a young age. He further explained being raised by young parents and the major influence his older brother had on him. Although he has since quit smoking cigarettes, fans are shocked at the discovery.
J. Cole is arguably one of the greatest rappers to join the hip-hop genre. After signing to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label in 2009, J. Cole went on to release not one but five number one albums. All of his studio releases except one charted the Billboard 200. These albums are also are certified platinum by RIAA, further adding to J. Cole’s legendary status. Outside of his own music, he is a gifted writer and producer. J. Cole has produced songs for Janet Jackson and Kendrick Lamar. Launching his own venture Dreamville Records in 2007, he’s helped bring artist like Ari Lennox to the spotlight.
Although his successful career speaks for itself, J. Cole has always been modest and humble. J. Cole who is one of the more private celebrities, didn’t hold anything back during this interview. In addition to admitting about smoking cigarettes, he also speaks on not wanting recognition from the Grammy’s, choosing music over basketball and his personal pillars of success.
