03 Dec G Herbo Surrenders To Authorities In Los Angeles In Relation To Federal Fraud Case (Update)
G Herbo has surrendered to authorities in Los Angeles following reports of his alleged involvement in a federal fraud case, TMZ reports. The news comes just after Brooklyn rapper Casanova found himself in the midst of a federal case and also surrendered to authorities.
As we previously reported, G Herbo and his crew are being accused of using fake ID’s and stolen credit cards to finance their lavish lifestyle. The federal complaint alleges that Herb, his music promoter and other members of his entourage, allegedly purchased luxurious vacations, private jets, and “designer puppies” using the stolen cards over the course of 4 years.
Federal authorities claim that Herb’s role in the case was conspiring to get a private villa in Jamaica back in 2017. He allegedly contacted music promoter Antonio Strong to arrange the stay using a stolen credit card.
G Herbo has been charged with 1 count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and 2 counts of aiding and abetting aggravated identity theft, but his team maintains that he is innocent in a statement we exclusively obtained.
“G Herbo has been charged with several offenses in Massachusetts, however, he maintains his innocence and looks forward to establishing his innocence in court,” the statement reads. “Herbo has legal representation in Massachusetts via Prince Lobel, whose team has reached out to the U.S. attorney’s office in Massachusetts to make arrangements for Herbo’s appearance.”
Herb’s manager reportedly turned himself in on November 24th after a judged ruled that he was the ringleader in the $1.5 million fraud case.
