03 Dec James Fauntleroy and Maeta Team Up on Holiday Song ‘Mistletoe’
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Rising R&B/pop songstress Maeta joins Grammy-winning singer/songwriter James Fauntleroy (Drake, Rihanna, Beyoncé) on a seasonal slow jam that deserves a spot on your holiday playlist. On their sultry duet “Mistletoe,” the two bring the cozy vibes to get you in the spirit.
“And I hear a voice saying, kiss me now, right now / But if I had the choice I would kiss you slow / Underneath the mistletoe,” sings Maeta over Fauntleroy’s minimalist production.
“I love collaborating with artists that I admire, and I love holiday music, so this song has a warm place in my heart,” said Maeta. “James Fauntleroy is such a prolific artist, and it was a true gift to be able to lend my voice to one of his tracks. I hope it gets everyone in their feels this holiday season.”
Added Fauntleroy, “Slow jams are for Christmas! Everyone’s favorite gift to unwrap after the kids go back to sleep deserves a soundtrack—here it is!”
Maeta is now readying her new EP Habits, the follow-up to 2019’s Do Not Disturb, featuring the Buddy-assisted single “Teen Scene,” produced by Kaytranada.
