22 Jan YAYA MAYWEATHER NAMED HER BABY BOY AFTER HIS DAD, NBA YOUNGBOY
Yaya Mayweather has reportedly named her baby boy after his dad, NBA Youngboy. The newborn’s paternal grandmother, Sherhonda Gaulden, allegedly shared her grandson’s name during a conversation on the drop-in audio app Clubhouse.
According to Gaulden, Yaya and NBA Youngboy’s son is a junior with the name Kentrell Gaulden Jr. Yaya and NBA Youngboy are no longer in a relationship but Yaya has allegedly allowed Sherhonda time to bond with the baby.
Many were shocked to learn of Yaya Mayweather and NBA Youngboy’s expectancy. NBA Youngboy made controversial remarks about Floyd Yaya’s father, Floyd Mayweather, which the boxing champion ultimately ignored.
“I just want the best for my daughter,” Floyd said of the situation during a recent interview. “If [being with NBA Youngboy] makes her happy, then we’re happy,” the celebrity father shared. “What I try not to do is get in her personal business. Because once she’s no longer under my roof, then it’s between her and her better half.”
Yaya and NBA Youngboy’s son is their first child together. The recording artist has seven kids in all. NBA Youngboy recently admitted that he does not get to spend as much time with his kids as he would like due to his busy schedule as a recording artist. Still, the rapper revealed the joy of fatherhood as his main source of motivation.
“My kids are amazing,” NBA Youngboy said during his interview with TIDAL. “At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about,” the recording artist said. “That’s what you go hard for.”
Yaya Mayweather is also building while settling into her life as a new mom. The socialite recently shared a snippet of her forthcoming YouTube channel series, which will give fans an inside look into her life as the daughter of a boxing champion.
