29 Nov Floracracy’s Sarah-Eva Marchese On Her Growing Business, Rockford, Cheap Trick & More
Floracracy is an all-new, high tech national flower delivery start-up company. The growing company offers free overnight delivery and allows consumers to design their own floral arrangements based on a unique patent-pending custom user interface. Further interesting about Floracracy, or at least I think so, is that its founder Sarah-Eva Marchese is a former terrorist profiler. I mean, how exactly does one go from profiling terrorists to creating a user-friendly online floral company with top-notch investors?
Sarah-Eva Marchese had the idea for Floracracy when choosing flowers for her own wedding. She spent several years developing Floracracy’s software to create a meaningful experience while ensuring that buyers get the exact arrangement they ordered. Despite the pandemic, she moved from California to Rockford, Illinois — which I had the pleasure of visiting last year on assignment — to build her company and create jobs in her hometown. In turn, Floracracy’s shopping experience allows users to order flowers personalized by style, occasion, and symbolic meanings to all lower 48 states, which includes a beautiful letter either written by the buyer or one of the company’s in-house writers.
On November 23, 2020, I had the pleasure of interviewing Sarah-Eva Marchese via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Marchese and Floracracy can be found online via www.floracracy.com, instagram.com/floracracy, facebook.com/Floracracy and/or twitter.com/floracracy.
